PATRICK CONAWAY (Dr. Joseph Warren and Others) is a Boston-based actor, singer, and educator. Past theatre credits include A Christmas Carol (Hartford Stage); As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing (Saratoga Shakespeare); The Resurrectionitss (Playhouse On Park); Twelfth Night, Our Country's Good (The Hartt School). Patrick earned his BFA in Actor Training from The Hartt School. He also studied with The Drama Studio London and Shakespeare & Company. This December, catch Patrick as J. Alex Jacobs as Dr. Joseph Warren
ALEX JACOBS (Dr. Joseph Warren and Others) is a local area teaching artist and is extremely grateful to be working on this exciting and important new play. Alex received his undergraduate degree in Theatre from the University of Leeds in England and the University of Memphis, Tennessee, with graduate studies locally at Brandeis University. His Regional Credits include: Tiny Tim’s Christmas Carol (Greater Boston Stage), The Lyons (Titanic), Steve (Zeitgeist), The T Party (Company One), The 39 Steps (Winnipesaukee Playhouse), and Animals out of Paper (Hampstead Theatre), for which he received a New Hampshire Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Professional Comedy/Drama. This Summer in addition to his role at the Old State House Alex is teaching a course in Suzuki actor training at Brandeis University and can be seen performing this October in MoonBox’s Rocky Horror Show at La Laboratoire in Cambridge.
Malik Mitchell as Prince Hall
MALIK MITCHELL (Prince Hall and Others) is a Dorchester native and a recent Alumnus of Boston Arts Academy. He is excited to be in his first show straight out of high school. His sophomore year he was featured in BAA’s school musical The Wiz (Scarecrow) and later that year The Crucible (Francis Nurse). His junior year he was featured in the musical In the Heights (Ensemble), produced at Wheelock Family Theatre which was nominated for 5 Elliot Norton awards. Concluding his junior year he was a part of the production Ruined (Christian). During his senior year he was featured in his school musical Memphis (Delray) and later that year The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Judas).
Stephen Sampson as Prince Hall
STEPHEN SAMPSON (Prince Hall and Others) returns to the Old State House after appearing as Cato in Cato & Dolly for two seasons. He was born and raised in Boston, educated in the Boston Public School system, and graduated high school in 2009 with a diploma from Boston Community Leadership Academy. He is a husband and father of two. He is also an actor, spoken word poet, and budding playwright. Stephen is passionate about working to help youth and adults in urban areas have more access to theater education and training. For the past four years he has been creating theater centered around Black History with elementary school students. Stephen has been featured in commercials, films, and stage plays. He has earned an associates degree in theatre arts from Bunker Hill Community College and will have earned a Bachelor's degree in theater and performance from Emerson College come December 2019.
